At work a few days later, my client gave me a netbook saying it wasn’t a worthwhile piece of hardware and I could do as I liked with it. (Which I liked very much since this is basically the same netbook.)

16 hours later, I have to say this Eee PC 900 is frustratingly slow with abysmal battery life. I emailed my generous client this morning saying I’d been up all night restoring, updating Winblows XP and installing a few apps, like iTunes and Anti-Virus software.

So here I am with a new Netbook and I’m putting it to the test. Today I will:

1. Test out all the functions and optimize XP home.
2. Test out Ubuntu to see if it’s faster
3. Begin the process of installing Mac OS

That’s right, in all likelihood I won’t be bringing this netbook anywhere with me until it is useful for something in the 2 hour period the battery lasts.

I think this thing is pretty cool but:

• I’m having a lot of trouble adjusting to the tiny keyboard keys.
• I can’t believe they would sell something with such a shit battery
• Is XP Home really a sleek, trouble-free OS suitable for the 1.6 Atom?

Hahahaha… on with the tinkering… or else this Eee PC will be on ebay within a week.
